Boudoir

You have been the most photographed person at every event and you hate every single photo. You angle yourself. You suck in. You untag yourself and move on.

You have lived an entire life and have nothing to show for how actually you look, how you actually feel, who you actually are right now.

That's not a body problem. That's a safety problem.

You've never been in front of a camera with someone who was completely on your side .... someone who wasn't trying to capture a moment, but trying to capture you.

Couples

Maternity

Nobody tells you that pregnancy is the season you'll want photos of yourself and the reason you'll feel least like being photographed.

Your body is doing something extraordinary and all anyone can see is a bump to document. You feel invisible inside the moment that's supposed to be about you.

Maternity photos done wrong look like a catalog. Draped fabric and soft focus and a hand on the belly.

They document the pregnancy. They forget the woman.

The woman who is doing the hardest physical work of her life and somehow still showing up for everyone around her while her whole identity is in the middle of shifting.

These images are about her .... not the belly, not the announcement, not the nursery aesthetic. The ocean is one of the most powerful backdrops that exists and 20 minutes is enough to make something that will outlast the newborn phase, the toddler years, and every other season she's about to walk into.
