She followed me for years before she booked.

Years of saving posts. Years of "maybe next year."

In 2024 she finally showed up at my home studio in Bowling Green, and she hasn't stopped since.

This fall was her third session, at 'The Ocean Drop' on 30A.

I noticed how much more confidence she carried.

She had a fire. and not even the ocean could put it out.

After every session I send my clients a questionnaire, and hers made me emotional.

Here's what she told me....

Session one, 2024: nervous, then hooked.

"First session in 2024. I was super nervous."

By the end, she said, she felt so good and had a self-confidence boost she didn't expect.

Session two, 2025: she wanted more.

Her second session was a mini shoot in Downtown Paducah - where I first began my boudoir career in 2018.

"I just wanted to book more sessions. It turned into my hobby by this point."

Session three, 2026: the ocean

"The Ocean Drop... by far my favorite. Nothing but pure excitement from start to finish. My confidence was so high that nobody can tell me nothing lol I felt hot."

What stood out to her was the setting: "The ocean, the sky, the waves, the mood. Black and edgy."

And when she saw her previews: "I saw them and was like dang I'm hot!!! and years ago I would have never said that about myself."

What the experience is like....

I do every client's hair and makeup myself, so you have one person from the moment you walk in to the final frame. No handoffs, and no one new to get comfortable with.

Almost everyone arrives nervous. Margaret did too.

"I was nervous the first session, but after that I was completely comfortable throughout the entire experience from that point on. You really make it easy. You're coaching during the poses for those that are uncoordinated haha like me!"

You don't need to know how to pose, and you don't need to feel confident walking in. I direct every pose, and the confidence comes with it.

What these photos are for...

I asked what she hopes the images mean to her in 5 or 10 years.

"When I have a moment or I'm just not feeling myself, I will go back look at these pictures and remember who the hell I am because we all deserve to feel special and these photos are my reminder!"

That's why she's coming back every year. Not because something needs fixing. Because this is for her.

To the woman on the fence...

Margaret's advice, unedited:

"The longer you think it over, the easier it is to make excuses. The money, the shame one feels about her looks, etc. There's always a reason... I booked and it was the best decision. You don't have to look a certain way or save for months or years."

She also said she scrolled for a couple of years before booking, and the day she decided it was now or never, she didn't look back.

"I've been my happiest since."

What's next...

I asked if she'd do it again and what she'd change.

"Absolutely over and over. One a year!"

She's already dreaming up the next one: something edgy outdoors, maybe a waterfall, or a high-rise condo over city lights.
